Holland Church Missionaries
Adam and Alei Hussey
Adam is from Sturbridge, Massachusetts. He graduated from Colby-Sawyer College in 2005 with a degree in Communications. Adam has used his training in videography to serve the mission field by producing videos for other missionaries which help to document their ministries for fundraising, accountability and ministry presentation.
In October 2007, Adam arrived in Gulu, Uganda, after volunteering for two months in the International Office as an administrative assistant to Nelson Reed. After 8 months on the field in Gulu, Adam contracted a severe case of malaria which required him to return to the States for treatment. Adam then went to serve the Lord in the Philippines and now serves ACTION through video production, street children outreaches and youth discipleship. It was in the Philippines where Adam met his wife Alexis, and the two were married in April of 2010. They have two beautiful children, Eliana and Dawson.
Adam and Alexis began a ministry called Faith Hope Love which ministers in a large squatter community 30 minutes south of Metro Manila. The Faith Hope Love team rent a house outside the community to conduct their weekly programs. They are focused on discipling the teens as they are the next generation leaders of their community and Lord willing future leaders of this ministry.
Josh and Abby Rattin
Josh and Abby have been serving in Uganda since 2011. Josh grew up in New Hampshire, the son of a pastor, and completed his seminary degree at Southern Theological Seminary. He is particularly passionate for the Church.
Abby grew up as a missionary kid in Cote d'Ivoire before moving to Western PA. She is a Family Practice doctor focused on public health and children with special needs. Together with their six children they currently serve with New Hope Uganda focused on church planting and equipping, in addition to encouraging and equipping those caring for children with special needs.
Tom and Sheri Luksha
In the mid-1990’s Tom and Sheri Luksha, with their two sons, acted upon a deep sense of calling to leave Charlton, MA and travel west to plant a church in rural Montana. The Lord led them to establish a Gospel outpost, naming it Grace Community Church, in the Ruby Valley of South Central Montana. They have now served faithfully for over 20 years.
Tom and Sheri have given themselves to not only share the gospel through the establishment of the church, but to share their very lives with the community. Tom is a Chaplain with the Sheriff’s department, and the Luksha’s are known throughout the Valley as a resource of care and compassion. They have come to learn that rural ministry is best expressed not only in sermons on Sundays, but in life-on-life relationships. Then again, that is what real ministry should look like in a suburban and urban context also.
The Luksha’s have been working for many years to give Grace Community Church a place to call home. For most of the church’s existence, they have been meeting in rented space at the small country school in Alder, MT. A number of years ago they were able to purchase property with a vision for ministry opportunity. In addition to their home, they have developed a Bed and Breakfast ministry called Elijah’s Rest.
